Quits keeps only what it needs to do its job: who paid what, and who they share it with. We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to advertisers, and there are no ads in the app.
The data controller is the owner of Quits, whose identifying details appear on the app’s App Store listing and are provided to anyone who asks for them. For anything to do with this policy, including exercising your rights: soporte@quits.pro.

We neither ask for nor store payment details. Purchases are charged by Apple through its own account; all we are told is whether you have Pro or not. There is also no access to your contacts, your location, your photos or your camera.
Quits starts up collecting no analytics at all. This is not a setting that switches itself off when the app opens: it is disabled in the build itself, so not even the first launch sends anything. If you turn it on under Settings › Privacy, Firebase Analytics is used for anonymous usage events (screens visited, whether a group was created, whether a purchase failed). You can turn it off again at any time in the same place.
Only the providers the app needs in order to work, and each of them only sees its own part:
And, of course, the people in your groups: anyone sharing a group with you sees your name in it, the expenses you enter there and the balances that come out of them. Your email address is not shown to the other members.
The database sits in Google data centres in the European Union (the eur3 multi-region: Belgium and the Netherlands). Some supporting services (authentication, analytics, the providers’ own support) may process data outside the European Economic Area; where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
For as long as you have the account. When you delete it, your data is erased within the period the law allows, apart from anything that has to be kept by legal obligation (for example the receipts for a purchase, which Apple keeps). Expenses you entered in other people’s groups are unlinked from you but stay in that group’s accounts: deleting them would throw other people’s balances out.
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, and withdraw consent for analytics whenever you like. You can exercise much of it yourself from inside the app (change your name in Settings, export your expenses, turn analytics off); for the rest, write to soporte@quits.pro from your account’s address and it is handled within the period the law sets.
If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, which supervises the controller.
Quits is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you spot that a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes in any material way, notice is given in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always says when it was last updated.
